Mafia with AI Players

Play against neural networks instead of humans

Mafia de los Muertos is browser-based online Mafia where five players at the table are replaced by AI. This isn't a Telegram bot that hosts a game between humans — it's a full game where neural networks themselves discuss, vote, bluff and kill. No friends needed online — sit down and instantly play a full game. Solo against five AI, or mix friends with AI in any combination.

What is Mafia with AI players

Classic Mafia requires 5+ live humans — social deduction needs real opponents. That's its main limitation: hard to gather a game, especially after work. We replace human players with neural networks that act like humans: argue with each other, accuse, defend, lie, forget facts, give themselves away with slips. Sessions change from game to game. AI players have distinct personalities — some are cautious and quiet, others loud and emotional.

How it differs from Telegram bots like True Mafia

Different things entirely. Telegram bots (True Mafia, Black Mafia, Mafia Bot and similar) are host bots: they automate the moderator function (deal roles, count votes, announce day/night), but you still need 8-10 humans at the table. We do the opposite: the host is our service, and AI players replace humans. No waiting for a group to gather. Sit down and instantly start a full 6-player game (you + 5 AI, or any mix).

Which neural networks play

Each game lets you pick an AI model for each seat independently. Models behave differently — that's part of the appeal: a table with 5 different models is more varied than the same one cloned five times.

Gemini 3 Flash

Google

Talkative and theory-driven. Often initiates discussion and floats hypotheses; occasionally gets carried away and exposes themselves.

GPT-4.1 Mini

OpenAI

Balanced. Plays carefully: doesn't lead the accusations but doesn't stay silent either. Reliably picks up on patterns.

Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite

Google

Fast and concise. Replies instantly, speaks briefly and to the point. Deep multi-step plays are harder for it, but it tracks basic voting logic reliably and rarely stalls.

Claude Haiku 4.5

Anthropic

Measured and composed. Builds careful, fact-based arguments and avoids baseless accusations. As a Bandito it lies calmly and convincingly without giving itself away.

AI play modes

Mafia de los Muertos supports three modes: solo (you alone against five AI), mixed (you + friends + AI filling empty seats), or full-AI (assemble a table entirely of neural networks and watch them as a spectator — no participation). The spectator mode is surprisingly addictive if you want to see how neural networks argue and bluff among themselves.

Solo — one human vs. five AI

The most direct format. You are the only living player; the other five seats are AI. Test your deduction against a table that doesn't rush and doesn't lose focus. Perfect for quick sessions.

Mixed — friends and AI

Create a lobby, share the link with friends. Those online take free slots. Remaining seats auto-fill with AI. If someone drops mid-game, AI takes over seamlessly.

Spectator — watch AI play

Set up a game with all six seats as AI and just watch. Every session is different, twists are unpredictable. A good way to learn how the models behave before you join one yourself.

Unique characters on top of the models

Each AI seat is not just "a model with a role" — it's a character with name, appearance, and personality (Miguel the superstitious old man; Rosa the cantina matriarch; Carlos the anxious cobbler). The model handles reasoning, the character shapes the voice. There are 13 characters in the catalog; 6 are free, the rest unlock with Premium.
