Ciudad de los Muertos — a city that exists on no map. It appears during the Night of the Dead and traps the souls of those who died by betrayal. Six strangers wake on the plaza. Two of them are no longer who they were — the shadow of the city has taken them.

BanditoFactions and roles
6 players split into two factions:
Citizens (4 players)
- Citizen (2): no special abilities.
- Seer (1): investigates one player per night and learns their role.
- Widow (1): protects one player from being killed each night.
Cannot protect the same player twice in a row.
Banditos (2 players)
Pick a target each night. The kill happens only if both pick the same target. Know each other from the start.
How the game flows
The game runs in rounds.
Each round:
Day (speeches, voting) → Night (role actions).

Day: speeches
- Every living player speaks in turn.
- The speaking order shifts each round.
- Humans type or use voice input.
- AI players answer automatically.
Day: voting
There's no vote in the first round: the first day is only introductions and speeches. After them the town falls straight asleep. Secret voting starts from the second day.
- After speeches — secret voting. Everyone votes at once.
- Votes stay hidden until tallied.
- You can abstain.
If a candidate gets more than half the live votes, they're executed.
Abstainers effectively vote against elimination.
If no majority — no one is executed.
Last words
The executed player gets last words. After that they go silent forever.
The dead don't play, their roles stay hidden until the end.

Night
- Banditos: each picks a target independently. A kill happens only if both picked the same. If one is dead — the remaining one kills freely.
- Seer: picks a player and learns their exact role.
- Widow: protects one player (not the same as yesterday).
- Citizen: sleeps.
In the morning the town learns who died, but not who killed or who saved.
Victory conditions
- Citizens: all Banditos eliminated.
- Banditos: live Banditos ≥ live Citizens.
If your faction wins, you win — even if your character is dead.
How to play online
- Get an access code on the home page — a free one is issued on email request via the form.
- Press «Play with friends and AI» — you land in the Cantina (lobby).
- Share the link with friends.
They pick their own slots, and empty seats are taken by AI players. - Choose characters for the AI players and press «Start game».
While you're in the lobby, nothing is deducted from your balance — a game counts only the moment it starts. Take your time setting up the table and waiting for friends.
Host — the game creator. Can start the game, change settings, and swap offline players for AI.
AI characters — in the lobby you pick the characters and personalities for the AI players: from Miguel, the superstitious old man, to Rosa, the calculating cantina owner. Each behaves in its own way.
Voice input — the mic button, up to 30 seconds.
Timer — a hint for live players. If you don't respond in time, the host can swap you for AI.
Distracted or need to leave? Swap yourself for an AI character at any point — it finishes the game for you.
Chronicle

- Navigate through rounds and phases.

Game breakdown
When the game ends, the afterparty begins: roles are revealed, and each character says a short closing word — now knowing who everyone was.
Then the coach, Don Septimo, breaks the game down. He scores every player and both teams overall — how the Seer, the Widow, the citizens and the Banditos played, where the strong moves were and where the mistakes lay. He also rates how entertaining the game itself turned out.
The breakdown is saved — you can return to it in the Chronicle at any time.
Tips
For citizens
- Watch voting patterns — Banditos defend each other.
- If the Seer reveals themselves, their info is critical.
For Banditos
- Don't defend your partner too overtly.
- Vote differently — identical votes expose the pair.
For the Seer
- Don't reveal yourself without useful info.
- Reveal if you've found a Bandito or you're about to be executed.
Mafia rules — frequently asked questions
How do you play Mafia — in short?
Players are secretly split into townsfolk and mafia (Banditos in our version). By day everyone debates and, by secret vote, executes one suspect (there's no vote on the first day — it's just for getting acquainted and speeches). At night the mafia picks a victim while special roles act: the Seer checks someone's role, the Widow protects. Town wins by finding and executing all mafia; the mafia wins by matching the town in numbers.
How many players do you need for Mafia?
Our version is always six seats. Human players can be anywhere from one to six — empty seats are filled by AI players. So a full game comes together even if you're alone: play solo against five neural networks.
What roles are there in Mafia?
Classic Mafia has townsfolk, mafia and special roles: Sheriff (Detective), Doctor, Mistress and others. Our version has six roles: two Citizens, the Seer (checks roles), the Widow (protects) and two Banditos. Full breakdown of every role is in the reference.
What happens at night?
The town «falls asleep»: the Banditos secretly agree on a victim, the Seer learns one player's role, and the Widow shields one player from the kill. In the morning the deaths are announced — or that the night was quiet — and a new day begins.
How do you spot the mafia?
Watch for contradictions in what people say, who covers for whom, and how they vote. The mafia tries to act like townsfolk, so sudden position swaps, too-convenient accusations and attempts to bury night-check results give them away. There's no exact formula — it's a game of reading people (and neural networks).
Can you play Mafia solo or with two people?
Yes. AI players fill the empty seats, so a full six-player game forms with any number of humans — even one. Handy when your friends are offline.
Why is there no vote on the first day?
The first day is only speeches and getting acquainted: players don't yet have the information to execute anyone deliberately. So after the first round of speeches the town falls straight asleep and night begins. Secret voting starts from the second day, once the first clues appear.
What are the afterparty and the game breakdown?
They're what happens after the game. Roles are revealed, and each character says a short closing word — now knowing who everyone was. Then the coach, Don Septimo, breaks the game down: he scores every player and both teams overall, points out strong moves and mistakes, and separately rates how entertaining the game turned out. The breakdown is saved — you can return to it in the Chronicle.
What happens if I leave in the middle of a game?
Nothing breaks. At any moment you can swap yourself for an AI character — it calmly finishes the game for you. If you simply disconnect, the host or the system (on a timer) replaces you. The game won't freeze or get interrupted.
When is a game charged to my balance?
Only at the moment the game starts. You get the access code beforehand, on the home page — it just unlocks the ability to create a game. While you're in the lobby (setting up the table, choosing characters, waiting for friends), nothing is deducted from your balance.
